Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated L1 Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The candidate will be responsible for providing first-level support for network-related incidents, monitoring network performance, and assisting in troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth network operations. This role requires a strong foundation in networking concepts and the ability to escalate complex issues to higher-level engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.) using NMS / monitoring tools.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting of network incidents, connectivity issues, and outages.
• Log and track tickets via ITSM / ServiceNow or other ticketing tools.
• Support day-to-day network operations (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
• Perform basic configuration and health checks of network devices under guidance.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2 / L3 Network Engineers with proper documentation.
• Assist in patching, cabling, and hardware replacement in data centers or office environments.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and maintain accurate documentation of network changes and incidents.
