Key responsibilities

Financial record maintenance : Posting journal entries maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Accounts payable and receivable : Processing invoices managing bills and ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection from clients.

Financial reporting : Assisting in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.

Reconciliation : Performing bank and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Payroll : Administering monthly payroll and processing payroll taxes.

Audit support : Gathering documents and assisting with internal and external audits.

Compliance : Ensuring all financial activities comply with state and federal regulations GAAP standards and company policies.

Qualifications and skills

Education : A bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field is standard.

Experience : Previous experience as a junior accountant or in a similar role is often required.

Software proficiency : Expertise in accounting software (like QuickBooks SAP or Tally) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential.

Attention to detail : A high level of accuracy is critical for handling financial data.

Analytical and problem-solving skills : The ability to analyze financial data and solve problems effectively is a key requirement.

Organizational skills : Strong time management and organizational skills are needed to meet deadlines.

Required Skills :

Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
