Position Summary
We are looking to hire a QMS Lead with deep expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and VDA 6.3 , who can take full ownership of quality systems across all SAN plants. This person will drive standardization, audit preparedness, documentation integrity, and lead the organization towards operational excellence—across both customer requirements and sustainability benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
QMS Strategy & Governance
Design and implement plant-wide quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 , ISO 9001 , and VDA 6.3 frameworks.
Lead QMS compliance across press shop, fabrication, assembly, and tool room functions.
Develop, revise, and enforce SOPs , control plans, and master documentation systems.
Audit Management & Certifications
Prepare for and lead customer audits (MSIL-VSA, Honda, INEL, etc.) , third-party IATF / ISO audits , and internal layered audits .
Ensure all operations are audit-ready with evidence-based documentation.
Own the entire VDA 6.3 audit process , from self-assessment to corrective actions.
Performance Monitoring & System Integration
Build digital dashboards to track KPIs : PPM, audit NC closures, internal NCs, customer complaints, CAPA timelines.
Implement tools for system traceability, version control, and training records.
Lead digitization of audit trails and quality gates.
Sustainability, ESG & EHS Systems
Drive system integration of environmental audits, EHS compliance, energy use reporting , and sustainability policies .
Support future ESG audit frameworks and sustainability-linked client requirements.
Culture Building & Team Development
Conduct frequent training on core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and system ownership for mid-level managers.
Build QMS teams across plants and train internal auditors for continuous improvement.
Act as quality systems evangelist in all plant-level meetings.

Criteria
Required
Experience
7–15 years in Automotive Manufacturing QMS (Tier-1 or OEM experience preferred)
Certifications
IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3 Module A + Process Auditor Certified
Industry Knowledge
Strong background in sheet metal, casting, safety components, and assemblies
Documentation Skills
Mastery in control plans, PFMEAs, MSA reports, process audits, CAPAs
Audit Handling
Hands-on experience in Maruti Suzuki VSA, Honda audits , and customer process validation
Tools Expertise
Fluent in SPC, GRR, control charts, quality gates, traceability systems
Systems Thinking
Able to deploy documented, measurable and replicable QMS processes
Leadership
Proven track record of team building, cross-functional ownership, and quality culture enforcement
