Role Overview :

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer with strong expertise in React.js and JavaScript to lead and mentor a team of frontend developers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and building scalable, high-performance web applications while ensuring best practices in code quality, UI / UX, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of frontend developers in delivering high-quality web applications.
  • Own the design and development of scalable, reusable, and maintainable front-end components using React.js, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks .
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and performance optimizations .
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across the team.
  • Drive adoption of new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
  • Manage project timelines, technical debt, and provide technical leadership in architecture discussions.
  • Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and cross-browser / device compatibility.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in frontend development, React ecosystem, and JavaScript frameworks .

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 1 + years in a lead / mentorship role .
  • Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Redux (or other state management tools) .
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, SASS / LESS, and responsive web design principles .
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integration with backend services .
  • Proficiency in frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel, Vite, etc.) and package managers (npm, yarn).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).
  • Experience in performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG / ARIA), and SEO best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines, Git, and agile development practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and communication skills.

    • Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

  • Knowledge of Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with micro-frontends and modular architectures.
  • Exposure to design systems and UI libraries (Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind CSS).
  • Contribution to open-source projects or personal portfolio of frontend projects.
