Remote Role | Contractor Security Engineer Level 3 – GRC Tech Solutions
We’re looking for a Security Engineer with a tech-first mindset to help grow and enhance our Cybersecurity . This position focuses on enabling process clarity, automation, and efficiency while creating insights that empower our business for the future.
As a Security Engineer supporting our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform , you’ll play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining GRC infrastructure — ensuring efficiency, automation, and seamless operation of systems. You’ll help empower internal teams to achieve their best work through robust, stable, and innovative solutions .

Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, manage, and improve critical security infrastructure services / tools (authentication, authorization, PKI, secrets management, logging, detection, vulnerability management, etc.)
Develop and enhance the GRC platform to meet evolving security needs
Maintain robust system connectivity with comprehensive logging, monitoring, and event management for visibility
Oversee workflow management to streamline and enhance security operations and incident response
Collaborate with internal and external partners on platform design and implementation
Continuously validate technology and processes to align with cyber strategy, risk management, and governance frameworks
Operate within Agile or Kanban sprint frameworks
Prepare and maintain security documentation (diagrams, standard builds, best practices, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7 years of experience in a security or technical engineering role
5–7 years of experience supporting engineering platforms
Strong experience with scripting and automation tools (Python, Java preferred)
Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or network-related fields preferred
Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
Strong knowledge of systems, networking software, hardware, and protocols
Experience with GRC platforms such as Onspring, Archer , or similar tools
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
Broad understanding of security topics (networking, cloud security, secure software, cryptography)
Certifications such as CISSP or equivalent are a plus
Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks ( SOX, PCI DSS, NIST SP800-53 )
System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or related domains
Experience with AI prompt engineering and a solid understanding of AI models and mechanics
