Job Description - System Administrator & Information Management Specialist – Willing to Travel Kuwait

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in system administration or IT infrastructure management.
• Prior experience supporting Landmark or similar oil and gas data management systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for direct interaction with customer IT and project teams.
• Certification in Linux, Oracle, or Microsoft technologies will be an added advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux (Red Hat / CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application deployment and configuration for OpenWorks, Recall, DSIS, and BHDM.
• Understanding of network fundamentals, DNS, NFS, storage mounts, and security certificates.
• Experience managing infrastructure-level components, including VMs, patching, and system backups.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) for automation and log analysis.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills in multi-tier environments.
• Manage and administer operating systems (Linux and Windows), ensuring high availability and system stability.
• Perform database administration (Oracle and SQL Server), including installation, tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Support and maintain application servers hosting OpenWorks, Recall, DSIS, and BHDM.
• Collaborate closely with customer IT teams for infrastructure provisioning, patching, firewall coordination, and performance monitoring.
• Conduct user and access management, license updates, and data security audits.
• Ensure regular system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitor and resolve application-level issues and escalate to vendor support when needed.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new releases under guidance from Halliburton and customer teams.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and support logs for knowledge retention.
• Provide day-to-day onsite technical support to ensure continuous service availability.
