Teradata Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer to join our team on a 6–8 month contractual engagement supporting our North American client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Teradata development, advanced SQL expertise, and the ability to perform independent analysis and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize Teradata-based solutions using BTEQ, MLoad, FastLoad , and related utilities.

Write, debug, and tune complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

Analyze business and data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide efficient technical solutions.

Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional and onshore teams to ensure timely delivery.

Participate in data validation, performance tuning, and process improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Teradata development .

Strong SQL programming and optimization skills.

Hands-on experience with BTEQ, MLoad, FastLoad , and other Teradata utilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global environment

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with AutoSys job scheduling.

Exposure to Google BigQuery or other cloud data platforms.

Additional Information

Immediate joiners will be given preference.

This is a contract role (6–8 months) with potential for extension based on project needs.
