Job Description :
We are seeking a talented Texturing & Look Development Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate should have strong artistic sense, attention to detail, and technical expertise in creating realistic or stylized textures, materials, and shaders for 3D assets across film, animation, and VFX projects.
Responsibilities :
Create high-quality textures, materials, and shaders for characters, props, and environments.
Work closely with the modeling, lighting, and rendering teams to ensure visual consistency.
Develop the look and surface qualities of assets to achieve the desired artistic and cinematic style.
Optimize textures and materials for production pipelines.
Perform look development using render engines such as Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, or Renderman.
Ensure assets meet both artistic and technical requirements within production deadlines.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Texturing or Look Development Artist in VFX, animation, or gaming studios.
Proficiency in Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop, Maya, and ZBrush.
Strong understanding of PBR workflow and shader networks.
Knowledge of UV layout, projection painting, and material layering techniques.
Familiarity with rendering engines and pipeline integration.
Strong eye for color, detail, and surface realism.
Portfolio showcasing a range of texturing and look development work.
