Back End Developer

Role Description

This is a contract-based remote role for a Backend Developer , with the opportunity for a full-time position based on performance.

The Backend Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems , developing secure APIs , and managing data communication between multiple applications. The individual will work closely with the team to design, develop, and optimize backend logic, integrate third-party services, and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of backend systems.

Daily responsibilities include API development, database management, authentication setup, performance optimization, and collaboration with the frontend and mobile app teams for seamless data integration.

Qualifications

Strong experience in Backend Web Development and API Architecture

Proficient in Node.js , Express.js , or NestJS

Experience with Firebase , MongoDB , or MySQL for database management

Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices

Knowledge of authentication systems (JWT, OAuth) and data security best practices

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Firebase Cloud Functions / AWS / GCP)

Understanding of CI / CD workflows and server deployment (bonus)

Experience integrating mobile and web applications with backend services

Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment

No formal degree required — we value talent, skill, and real-world coding experience
