The Associate Business Partner is a member of the People & Culture team and reports to the Manager, People Business Partner. Partnering with business leaders and senior HR partners to drive people strategies that support organizational goals. This role focuses on delivering day-to-day HR guidance, supporting employee engagement, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and fostering a positive employee experience. The APBP helps ensure consistency in people practices while developing business acumen and HR expertise for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Consult with people leaders regarding day-to-day issues while keeping in mind applicable laws, policies, programs, and issues to guide them in making informed decisions
- Work closely with leaders and employees to improve working relationships while building team morale
- Independently coach front-line managers on low-complexity performance management issues
- Effectively contribute or lead projects as it relates to the PBP team
- Execute Associate PBP administrative duties without error, such as job and compensation changes
- Successfully support a few related business areas, totaling around 200 employees
- Guide people leaders on best practices around consistent documentation and application of progressive performance management
- Act as a liaison with our HR Centers of Excellence by reinforcing the messaging and roll out of critical enterprise-wide programs
- Basic presentation skills for the roll-out of P&C initiatives to assigned business areas
- Participate as a second voice for investigations and assist with investigations documentation-gathering or creation
- Respond to inbound questions and acting as a first line resource on behalf of P&C
