Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving fiscal transparency, operational efficiency, and strategic resource planning across the Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDAA) Platforms function, ensure alignment with business goals. This role is responsible for overseeing financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, spend tracking, and vendor financial management. Partnering closely with technology, procurement, and finance teams, the Financial Operations Manager ensures sound financial governance and supports leadership in making data-informed investment decisions to scale data platform capabilities.

Who we’re looking for :

Primary Responsibilities :

Financial Planning & Analysis :

Lead and manage financial operations for EDAA Platforms, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly / quarterly variance analysis.

Forecast future cloud costs based on usage trends and business growth.

Provide cost-benefit analysis and financial insights to support business case development and investment prioritization.

Support annual planning cycles and resource allocation across platform initiatives.

Spend Management & Optimization :

Monitor and track technology and vendor spend to ensure alignment with strategic plans and financial targets.

Drive financial reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into spend, run costs, and platform ROI.

Ensure proper resource tagging for accurate cost contribution.

Vendor & Contract Management :

Collaborate with finance, procurement, and business leads to manage contracts, SOWs, invoicing, and vendor payments.

Act as a liaison between finance, delivery teams, and vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.

Process Improvement & Governance :

Establish and refine financial processes and controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Contribute to continuous improvement of financial operations tools, templates, and best practices.

Executive Support & Communication :

Prepare presentations and materials for senior leadership to support strategic reviews and governance forums.

Skill :

7 years of experience in financial operations, business finance, or FP&A, ideally within a technology or data environment

Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance practices

Experience managing technology vendor contracts, invoicing, and procurement processes

Proficiency with Finops tools (e.g., Finout, Datadog etc.)

Proficiency with financial modelling, reporting tools, and Excel / Google Sheets; experience with ERP or PPM systems is a plus

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a consultative mindset

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or related certification preferred

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrixed environment and drive cross-functional collaboration

Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and ability to simplify complex financial data for decision-making

Good understanding of public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, including their respective billing models and cost structures.

Work location : Hyderabad, India

Work pattern : Full time role.

Work mode : Hybrid.
