The Role
We’re seeking a Funding and Partnerships Manager ; a strategic, organised, and dynamic leader who thrives on driving results and building structure around complex processes.
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, this role leads the implementation of Communicare’s Funding Lifecycle and Partnerships Framework, ensuring that every funding submission and partnership operates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
You’ll oversee the tender process, guide the Tender Writer, and support operational leaders to manage and sustain effective partnerships through tools like Partnership Start Plans and Health Checks. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining strategy, systems, and collaboration to create meaningful, lasting impact. This role is located in Cannington and offered on a permanent full time basis working 76 hours a fortnight.
What You’ll Do
Strengthen and embed Communicare’s Funding Lifecycle and Partnerships Framework across the organisation.
Lead the end-to-end tender and grant process — from pipeline management to submission and review.
Mentor and oversee the Tender Writer to deliver high-quality, compelling bids.
Support operational teams to initiate, manage, and monitor partnerships using tools and governance processes.
Produce reports, insights, and recommendations for the Executive Team and governance committees.
Collaborate with the Manager, Fundraising and Philanthropy to ensure a coordinated approach across all funding streams.
Contribute to business development projects, pilots, and strategic initiatives that advance organisational growth.

You’ll also bring :
Demonstrated experience in funding, tender management, partnerships, or business development within the community services or not-for-profit sector.
Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional written communication, including tender writing and quality assurance capability.
Proven experience designing or implementing organisational frameworks, systems, or governance processes.
A collaborative, coaching approach to supporting teams.
Agility, problem-solving ability, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Communications, Commerce, or Social Science).
Police Clearance and Willingness to obtain Department of Justice Clearance.
