SAP BW

Key Responsibilities :

1. System Support :

Provide day-to-day support for SAP BW systems ensuring data availability system

performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues working closely with end-users and cross-

functional teams.

Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to prevent issues.

2. Enhancement and Optimization :

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate

them into technical solutions.

Develop test and implement enhancements and improvements to existing SAP BW

solutions.

Optimize data extraction transformation and loading (ETL) processes for improved

performance.

Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance system functionality.

3. Data Modeling :

Design and maintain data models ensuring data accuracy consistency and integrity.

Create and maintain InfoCubes DataStore Objects InfoObjects and other data

structures in SAP BW.

Apply dimension modeling and star schema techniques to support effective reporting.

4. Reporting and Analytics :

Develop and maintain reporting solutions using tools like SAP BusinessObjects SAP

Analytics Cloud or other reporting tools.

Create and enhance BI queries reports and dashboards to meet the business

requirements.

Collaborate with end-users to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable

insights.

5. Integration :

Work on data integration between SAP BW and other systems such as SAP ERP external

databases and third-party applications.

Ensure data consistency and accuracy in data transfers.

6. Documentation and Training :

Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP BW configurations processes and

enhancements.

Provide training and guidance to end-users and colleagues on SAP BW functionalities.

7. Performance Monitoring :

Continuously monitor system performance and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

Implement performance tuning and optimization techniques to ensure a high-

performing SAP BW environment.
