Market Surveillance Analyst

Core responsibilities

• Monitoring and investigating alerts :  Review trading activity and communications (emails, chats, calls) for suspicious patterns flagged by surveillance systems.
• Investigating market abuse :  Conduct thorough investigations into potential violations like market manipulation, insider trading, and front-running.
• Documenting and reporting :  Maintain accurate and detailed records of all investigations and findings, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
• Collaboration :  Work with other departments, including compliance, legal, and technology, to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Staying informed :  Continuously monitor market developments, changes in firm policies, and regulatory requirements that could impact trading behavior.
• Process improvement :  Identify and implement improvements to surveillance tools, algorithms, and overall processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
