Network Security Engineer(Checkpoint Firewall - 6 Months Contract Role)

Please note - This is a contract role for 6 Months.

As a Network Security Engineer, you will join the network engineering team to provide network security designs to maintain, develop and mature numerous products.

You will be one of the accountable designers responsible for creating and implementing medium and complex designs often without the guidance of the manager. He / she will provide support and leadership in the formulation of network security technology related to projects. The role holder can also be responsible for leading and supporting the resolution of complex technical issues and ensuring support is provided to meet service level standards.

The role holder meets business objectives, solves business problems and furthers business success by applying industry, applications and technical knowledge through the definition of high level / Low level solutions. In addition, he / she may work proactively with the business to define new product developments.

Your Purpose :

• Support the development of Network Security reference architectures and standards.
• Support and work with the Director of Network Services to build out a roadmap for Network Security infrastructure services.
• Assessment of business critical technologies for security vulnerabilities and improvements
• Provide best practice remediation recommendations to address flaws identified security.
• Producing Network Security designs to meet business needs and following the current standards.
• Support Network Security standards to ensure they continue to meet best practice guidelines.
• Keep up to date on Security trends and developments and identifying how they could benefit the company.
• Analyse Security products and technologies, making recommendations to influence technical direction.
• Is result oriented and has a high degree of accountability, commitment, and responsibility, the expectation is that involving an architect in a project is a guarantee of obtaining positive outcomes.
• Working with the Security Operations team to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Providing change sign off for changes related to Network Security.
• Able to resolves medium and some complex network architecture / incident issues.
• Lead on multiple medium and large complex projects and support in the implementation.
