About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Finance to lead our financial operations, drive organizational decision-making, and ensure strong governance across projects and grants. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with experience in nonprofits or large, multi-stakeholder environments, who can balance operational excellence with strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management and the Board, providing insights based on financial analysis, forecasting, and performance projections.
- Support project leaders with financial planning, reviewing budgets, monthly / quarterly reports, and grant-wise financial insights.
- Lead annual organizational budgeting and guide financial policies, systems, and administrative procedures.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and support investment decisions.
Financial Operations & Compliance
Oversee financial accounting, fund management, banking, and risk management activities.Manage monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, payroll, and benefits.Ensure accurate and timely MIS and taxation-related reporting.Lead the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and timely closure of year-end financials.Manage treasury operations including payments, transfers, and credit control.Governance & Reporting
Oversee legal and statutory compliance aligned with charity and company regulations.Prepare and present financial reports for grants, major contracts, and organizational initiatives.Conduct Board meetings, ensure documentation, follow-ups, and statutory reporting requirements.People & Cross-functional Collaboration
Inspire, mentor, and guide teams to achieve financial and organizational goals.Collaborate closely with project teams, service providers, auditors, and senior leadership.Desired Profile
Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.8–12 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, and compliance frameworks.Experience working in large nonprofit organizations is an added advantage.Proficient in financial systems and accounting software.Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.High integrity, strategic mindset, and leadership capability.Why Join Us?
