About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Editor to oversee content creation and editorial strategy for Biz2Credit. The editor will manage in-house writers and freelancers, ensuring consistent production of high-quality content across articles, newsletters, videos, and website features. This role requires strong editorial judgment, deep expertise in financial and business news, and the ability to guide contributors in producing engaging, analytical, and actionable stories for small business owners.
The Editor will be responsible for managing coverage of the American economy and US small business loans, ensuring accuracy, quality, and relevance.
Responsibilities
Manage coverage of the American economy and US small business loans, ensuring accuracy, quality, and relevance.
Oversee a roster of writers and freelancers across the US and India.
Ensure all content complies with Biz2Credit’s editorial, compliance, and brand guidelines.
Provide hands-on editorial support and guidance to writers for consistently high-quality work.
Write original articles around small business financing needs in the US.
Generate and assign story ideas that deliver actionable insights and broaden audience reach.
Stay informed on business finance, lending trends, and competitor coverage.
Collaborate with data, SEO, and social media teams to optimize content and increase engagement.
Analyse audience data to shape coverage strategy and refine publishing approaches.
Support Biz2Credit’s digital platforms by helping run and evolve the company website.
Qualifications
7–12 years of professional journalism experience, with strong experience in business and financial news.
Required Skills
Unimpeachable news judgment and expertise in business finance, lending, money, and investing.
Proven line-editing skills with a strong ear for tone, clarity, and narrative flow.
Experience managing freelancers on an ongoing or project basis.
Skilled in SEO practices and audience growth strategies.
Background in multi-platform journalism (articles, newsletters, video scripts, and social collaborations).
Strong organizational, leadership, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Track record of training or mentoring writers on tools, practices, or formats.
Team player, adaptable, and comfortable managing contributors across US and India.
