About the Role
The Head of Sourcing will play a pivotal role in leading the sourcing strategy, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving procurement excellence across Curefoods India. The ideal candidate is the one who brings 10+ years of progressive experience, deep market understanding and a strong command over sourcing in Food Services, Grocery, and Food Retail. Experience in grocery and commodity sourcing will be a significant advantage. This role demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless availability of premium, ethically sourced products aligned with our mission and values.
Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy : Build and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy focused on quality, sustainability, and cost optimization.
Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers aligned with our quality and ethical sourcing standards.
Negotiations : Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms, contracts, and long-term partnerships.
Supplier Performance : Track and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and continuous improvement.
Supply Chain Integrity : Oversee end-to-end sourcing processes, ensuring product integrity from raw materials to final delivery.
Sustainability : Champion environmentally responsible sourcing and support community-impact initiatives.
Risk Management : Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure operational continuity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with QA, production, marketing, and other teams to align sourcing with business goals.
Market Research : Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging sourcing opportunities.
Budget Management : Manage sourcing budgets with a focus on cost efficiency and strong supplier relationships.
Leadership : Lead and mentor the sourcing team, fostering innovation, accountability, and excellence.
Pre Requisities
10+ years of proven experience in senior sourcing or procurement roles, ideally within Food Services, Grocery, or Food Retail.
Deep experience in grocery and commodity sourcing is a strong plus.
Experience in pan-India sourcing of food commodities is highly desirable.
Strong expertise in capex sourcing and large-scale RFP processes is an added advantage.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated track record of achieving sourcing objectives without compromising quality.
