Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary R&D leader to head the Electronics & Power Electronics Division . This role is critical in driving innovation, product excellence, and technology leadership in Motor Controllers, Power Electronics & Chargers for EV 2W / 3W / 4W OEMs .
Product Development & Innovation : Oversee the design, development, validation, and industrialisation of :
- Motor Controllers (BLDC, PMSM, IPM, etc.)
- On-board Chargers (OBC), Off-board Chargers / DC Fast Chargers, DC-DC Converters, and other Power Electronics modules
- Ensure compliance with AIS, ARAI, ISO 26262, ASIL, IEC, and automotive-grade EMI / EMC standards
Capability Building : Drive in-house competency in areas such as :
- Motor control algorithms (FOC, trapezoidal control, vector control)
- Embedded systems & firmware development (AutoSAR, model-based design)
- Simulation tools (MATLAB / Simulink, PLECS), Thermal management, PCB design, EMI / EMC compliance
Product Portfolio Management : Rationalise and optimize the existing product portfolio for scalability, cost-efficiency, and platform commonality.
The Successful Applicant
- B.E. / B.Tech. or M.E. / M.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related disciplines with over 20+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of successful product launches in the EV or automotive electronics domain.
- Deep expertise in power electronics, motor drive systems, charger architecture, and high-voltage systems
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, CAN / LIN / UDS / ISO 15118 protocols. Expertise in hardware design (analog / digital), PCB layout, and thermal and electromagnetic compatibility.
- Proven experience in design validation, HIL / SIL testing, and reliability engineering. Ability to leverage model-based development (MBD) and digital twin methodologies.
- Prior experience working with EV OEMs, Component suppliers, or automotive R&D centers.
