About the Role :

MicroGenesis TechSoft is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Atlassian Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our suite of Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Atlassian administration, process automation using Groovy scripting, and hands-on experience in supporting development and project management teams.

This role demands technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset to enhance the productivity and collaboration of our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Administer, configure, and maintain Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket instances to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance.
Implement and manage user access controls, roles, groups, and permissions across Atlassian tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver efficient workflow, dashboard, and reporting solutions.
Design and maintain custom scripts in Groovy to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency.
Customize and optimize Jira workflows, issue types, screens, and field configurations to meet project and team requirements.
Develop and maintain project templates, dashboards, and reports for tracking KPIs and progress metrics.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and a smooth user experience.
Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to promote best practices in using Atlassian tools.
Monitor and evaluate new Atlassian releases, plugins, and features, recommending improvements and upgrades as needed.
Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure integration and compatibility between Atlassian products and other systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3 to 4 years of professional experience in administering Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Proven proficiency in Groovy scripting for automation and customization of Atlassian products.

Solid understanding of Jira administration, including workflows, schemes, permissions, and notifications.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities.

Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and their implementation within Jira.

Preferred Skills :

Experience integrating Atlassian tools with other platforms such as Jenkins, Git, or Service Management tools.

Knowledge of REST APIs for advanced integrations.

Basic understanding of Linux environments, database management, or cloud-based deployments.

Atlassian certification (e.g., ACP-120 Jira Administration for Cloud or ACP-610 for Data Center / Server) is a plus.
