Job Description

The

Solution Architect

is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create architecture for each business service (Customer Service). The role collaborates with

Service Management Leads, Business Analysts, and Enterprise Architects

to understand the implications on solution architecture.

This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. The Solution Architect leads the development of innovative technical solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operational problems. The role requires strong knowledge of business and technical functions that interact with the area of expertise and provides technical consulting on complex projects. The Solution Architect also acts as a source of direction, training, and guidance for other team members and leverages industry best practices to deliver effective solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide

solution architecture leadership

and strategy development.

Act as the

Lead Technical Architect

for medium to large projects within a specific business capability, which may span across multiple areas.

Maintain accountability across multiple functional and technical domains with a wide range of complexity.

Lead the overall solution design, including detailed configuration, ensuring alignment between business requirements, regional / global needs, and standard software configurations.

Deliver

solution blueprints , including but not limited to : application diagrams, physical architecture, process diagrams, system maps, service interfaces, technical interfaces, data models, and integration plans.

Translate functional and non-functional requirements into comprehensive solution designs that align with business goals, ensure consistent data usage, enable effective integration with other systems, support a unified application environment, and meet enterprise-level standards for security, scalability, and quality of service.

Collaborate with

Enterprise Architecture

to ensure the solution fits within the broader enterprise context and complies with IT standards and best practices.

Participate in the

Community of Practice

with other Solution Architects to share knowledge and promote consistency.

Coordinate complex solution implementations while managing design variations based on business needs and ensure documentation within the enterprise architecture repository.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders related to evaluation, design, and delivery of business capabilities.

Contribute to the

evaluation and selection of software standards and tools .

Represent the organization in industry forums, user groups, and strategic direction discussions.

Provide

coaching and leadership

to system software developers through enhancements and project delivery.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical business stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.

Understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications.

Stay updated on

emerging technologies

and industry trends relevant to the functional area.

Candidate Requirements

Excellent fluency in

English , both written and verbal.

Recognized

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

with a high level of expertise in

SAP SD .

Strong

ABAP

development and complex troubleshooting experience.

Proven

Order-to-Cash (O2C)

process expertise in SAP SD.

Experience with

EDI and IDoc

processes is highly preferred.

Strong background in

software engineering, development, and solution architecture , with the ability to produce High-Level and, ideally, Low-Level Designs.

Experience in

highly integrated, complex data environments

(e.g., EDI, BI, ETL, ERP) and comfort working across both SAP and non-SAP technologies.

Excellent

consultative and collaboration skills , with prior experience working alongside Business Analysts and Enterprise Architects to deliver innovative solutions.

Bachelor’s degree

required.

7–10 years

of professional IT experience.

Strong

leadership skills

and creative problem-solving abilities.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive the work of others.

Proven

technical leadership

of application development teams and vendor management.

Experience collaborating with Enterprise Architects and Infrastructure Engineers to design and implement

complex, end-to-end solutions .

Strong understanding of

SDLC processes and methodologies .

Excellent

collaboration and networking skills

across all levels of business and IT.

Broad range of business and IT experience with relevant

technical and / or business certifications .

Ability to work effectively in a

global, virtual, and matrixed environment , across time zones and cultures, with both onshore and offshore teams, as well as external partners and suppliers.
