Job description

What you will do

  • In consultation with ExxonMobil’s Reservoir Modelling group in Houston, define project objectives, work scopes and deliverables.
  • Contribute to existing model updates, developing / maintaining workflows, volumetric and calibration to dynamic data.
  • Support business units that require models to screen opportunities, run scenarios and quantify uncertainty.
  • Support business units to manage country-specific regulatory requirements that have a significant modelling component.
  • Work with computational scientists, engineers, and geoscientists to test, deliver and support various modelling software tools, models and algorithms.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Earth Science, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics or Engineering with a minimum GPA score of & above.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on industrial experience in integrated reservoir modelling in support of upstream oil and gas operations.
  • Strong background in one or more geoscience skills (production / development geology, geophysics, stratigraphy).
  • Proficiency with English and strong communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Strong computational and analytical skills.
  • Expert level Petrel user, experience with Petrel workflows and plugins.
  • Knowledge of reservoir simulation / Eclipse or other modelling software would be an added advantage.
