API Technical Lead is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for a team to help ensure the successful delivery of the Sodexo API First program. She / He will also lead the design and the build of reusable shared API Engineering “Packages” and “Framework”, all along the ‘API Products’ life cycle.
He / she is proficient in the latest API-based Technology, Protocols, Tools, Architecture and Engineering practices, and he / she is able to drive and influence of the API first approach across Sodexo.
Responsibilities :
- Developing and executing a comprehensive API technical strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
- Leading and mentoring a team of developers in creating and maintaining APIs.
- Ensuring high standards of API quality and adherence to best practices within the team.
- Collaborating with other Global and Regional Technical Leads from Sodexo Data Hub (especially from Integration Hub) and Project delivery teams to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain API-based solutions.
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
- Preparing design templates, manuals and other documentation that will help deliver high quality integration solutions.
- Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Packaging and supporting the deployment of releases.
- Designing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.
- Analyzing and resolving technical problems related to API integrations or API management platforms .
- Defining and adhering to high-quality API development principles to enable development teams to deliver API solutions on time and on budget.
- Providing third-level support to the API Management and API Factory team .
- Lead the design and development of highly scalable, robust and secure APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the quality of APIs through design reviews, code reviews, and the creation of test plans and test cases.
- Manage API documentation to ensure it is comprehensive, up-to-date, and accessible to internal teams and partners.
- Monitor API usage and performance, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise .
Required Skills :
10 to 15 years experience in API Design, Governance, Security, Management, Monitoring / ObservabilityStrong experience in architecting and administrating Azure API Management platform.Strong Experience in implementing API based integration for ERP, CRM, web and mobile solutionsExperience building a high-performance team.Proficient knowledge of Open API, Async, Graph QL and GRPC protocolsWide experience in API & microservices developmentExperience in event-driven architectures & event streaming technologiesExperience in TDD and test automationProven experience working under SAFe or another scaled agile frameworks in large programsProven experience in people managementProven experience in API engineering and software architecture design.Experience working with remote geographically disbursed teams preferred.Strong planning and analytical skills. In-depth understanding of Azure Dev Ops and CI / CD.Soft skills : Autonomous, analytical skills, rigorous, methodical, persuasive, dynamic, leadership skills, work under pressure, results-oriented.Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage, motivate & engage teams and interact with people at all levels of the organizationExcellent communication skills on both written & oral English.
