Roles and Responsibilities
As a Business Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting cross-functional project teams, harnessing deep expertise in life sciences data to drive actionable commercial and sales strategies for our clients. Your work will span complex physician, patient, and account-level datasets, translating advanced analytics into clear guidance for HQ, field, and commercial teams. You will be expected to :
- Analyze a variety of life sciences datasets, including sales, buy-and-bill, retail and specialty pharmacy, HCP / HCO interactions, and non-personal promotion, to uncover trends in performance, uptake, execution, and productivity.
- Design and implement complex incentive compensation (IC) plans, territory alignments, sales force sizing and structure, segmentation, and targeting models to maximize commercial impact.
- Conduct both exploratory and targeted analyses using Excel-VBA, SQL, Python, and other leading analytics tools in support of strategic decisions across commercial and medical domains.
- Visualize complex insights using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, distilling analytical findings into compelling presentations for stakeholders across business functions.
- Design, manage, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity across business intelligence initiatives that support data-driven decision-making.
- Independently manage client interactions, leading meetings, preparing deliverables, providing project status updates, and documenting processes to enable efficient and seamless delivery.
- Drive thought leadership and contribute to the development and dissemination of internal best practices, domain knowledge, and innovative solutions.
- Ensure ongoing process optimization in BI development and reporting, maintaining robust documentation, QA procedures, and alignment to industry best practices.
What Will You Bring
4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in analytics, consulting, or BI roles within the healthcare, life sciences, or medical technology sectors.Deep working knowledge of key life sciences data sources (e.g., 867 / 852, DDD, Xponent, Compass, retail and specialty pharmacy datasets, CRM, Rx claims, campaign logs, execution / NPP data).Proven technical skills in Excel-VBA, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and other leading analytics platforms; advanced data wrangling and automation expertise.Exposure to cloud data platforms (ex : Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) and data warehousing concepts is a distinct advantage.Educational background including an MBA, MSc, or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking ability, with a keen aptitude for translating business challenges into effective analytical solutions.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and storytelling skills, capable of presenting technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to delivering value, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and knowledge advancement.Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.What You Will Do in This Role
