JMAN Group is a fast-growing data engineering & data science consultancy. We work primarily with Private Equity Funds and their Portfolio Companies to create commercial value using Data & Artificial Intelligence. In addition, we also work with growth businesses, large corporates, multinationals, and charities.

We are headquartered in London with Offices in New York, London and Chennai. Our team of over 450 people is a unique blend of individuals with skills across commercial consulting, data science and software engineering.

We were founded by cousins Anush Newman (Co-founder & CEO) and Leo Valan (Co-founder & CTO) and have grown rapidly since 2019. In May 2023 we took a minority investment from Baird Capital and in January 2024 we opened an office in New York with the ambition of growing our US business to be as large as, if not bigger than, our European business by 2027

HRBP

Role Description

The global People Team is at the center of all we do at JMAN. We are a People business – our people ARE our business – and it is our responsibility in the People Team to ensure that our team across the world is set up to flourish. Our People are our success, and this is a responsibility we take very seriously. It is an enormous privilege to be part of the team that is responsible for how we recruit, train, develop and reward the talent at JMAN.

We are an ambitious and high-performing team, now looking for a dynamic People Associate to support the delivery of our people initiatives by providing comprehensive administrative support and a real focus on our team. Reporting to the People Lead, your foundation as the People Associate will need to be strong, meaning that you need to be knowledgeable on all things JMAN.

You will be a go-to person for internal and external stakeholders, always with the aim of constantly improving our People processes and interactions with our global team.

The nature of what we do is that the People functions are very inter-dependent. This is an incredible opportunity to join a rapidly growing business where you will have exposure to People initiatives across London, Chennai, and New York. Below is an outline of some of your areas of responsibility – these will grow and change depending on the needs of the business as well as your areas of interest and strength.

Responsibilities

Employee onboarding :

Assist in the smooth onboarding of new employees by preparing necessary paperwork, contracts, and forms.

To support in organizing orientation sessions for new employees, introducing them to company policies, culture, and team members.

Track the completion of onboarding tasks, such as document submission and post onboarding session ensuring a seamless integration into the company.

Employee events and wellbeing :

Attend weekly events meetings and take effective minutes, driving actions across the teams.

Drive engagement amongst the events team.

Send out invitations, reminders, and general notices about events to drive excitement and engagement amongst the team.

Performance Management & KPI / KRA Management

Assist in designing and managing performance appraisal systems.

Work with department heads to create, define, and update Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for employees.

Support managers in delivering feedback and tracking employee performance data.

Salary Benchmarking & Compensation Management

Conduct salary benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.

Assist in salary negotiations and develop compensation strategies.

To assist in payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

To provide support in employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, provident fund, etc. Rewards & Recognition Programs

To Assist and manage employee rewards and recognition programs to motivate and engage staff. To support and organize regular awards, recognition events, and initiatives to celebrate employee achievements.

Visa Processing & Global Mobility

To support visa and work permit processing for employees, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

To coordinate with operations, lead in UK and keep on track employees who are on global mobility. Compliance & Policies

To support updating and maintain company HR policies in line with industry standards and legal requirements.

Maintain employee records and HR databases.

Employee offboarding

Ensure all relevant parties are informed of the employee’s last day.

Ensure the offboarding process is initiated on the HRIS, including issuing relevant documents or letters as required.

Be available to check and accept employee assets on their final day.

Learning and Development :

Assist with scheduling and coordinating training as and when required.

Assist with booking venues, refreshments and making any other necessary arrangements for scheduled training.

Responsible for collating all the relevant data for payroll purposes and updating the payroll spreadsheet in time for the monthly payroll deadline and ensuring that the supporting documents are saved in the HR folder.
