About the Role

The Designer for the Marketing Department is responsible for creating and editing engaging video content to support the organization's marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Video Production :

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and strategies that align with the overall marketing goals.
  • Capture and edit high-quality video footage for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, email campaigns, and more.
  • Experience with videography / on-site video production.
  • Ensure that video content maintains a consistent and on-brand style, tone, and messaging.

Editing and post-production :

  • Edit and assemble raw footage, ensuring seamless transitions, clean audio, and compelling visuals.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content.
  • Optimize video content for various platforms and devices, considering aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats.
  • Add music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance the overall viewer experience.

    • Content Management :

  • Organize and maintain a library of video assets, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval for future projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage video files, version control, and project timelines.

    • Quality Assurance :

  • Review and proof video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with branding guidelines.
  • Make necessary revisions and improvements based on feedback from stakeholders.

    • Stay Current :

  • Keep up to date with industry trends and video editing software advancements to incorporate innovative techniques into video production.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Ability to work in graphic design tools like Illustrator and Photoshop proficiently.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Strong storytelling and visual storytelling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics.
  • Understanding of marketing principles and the ability to convey marketing messages through video.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with color correction and color grading.
  • Knowledge of audio editing and sound design.
  • Familiarity with video SEO best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design, 3D modelling, and animation (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, etc.)
