POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP WM EWM Specialist is responsible for facilitating the delivery and support of the design and development portion of projects / programs within specified functional area(s). Coordinates and takes the lead role for design of the technical / functional development and support of IT applications in his / her area of responsibility. Coordinates development aspects including reports, interfaces, conversion programs, database design and creation, enhancements. May also include SAP Portal development, ABAP, SAP UI5 / Fiori. Provides accurate estimates based on design documents, including data mapping, and interface models.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Collaborates closely with the business to understand business requirements.
  • Responsible for planning, analysis, designing, requirements definition, functional design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions.
  • Drives medium to large sized complex projects with planning, development, and implementation of system solutions.
  • Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers.
  • Simultaneously coordinates activities for multiple projects and activities.
  • Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  • Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • BE / B. Tech in Information Technology or Computer Science or the equivalent of 10+ years professional experience in IT Applications development and support.
  • Must have implementation experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Experience within a manufacturing / distribution environment in an IT development capacity
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documenting and training of IT applications.
  • Should have experience as Architect for minimum 2 end to end SAP EWM and WM Implementations.
  • Working experience should be in SAP Decentral EWM 9.3 or higher or SAP S / 4 HANA Embedded EWM.
  • SAP Certification in SAP EWM is preferred.
  • High energy, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse remote teams, managing through a matrix structure, and will require strong analytical skills, process & project management, combined with well-developed team leadership and influencing skills.
  • Agile methodology experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and process management skills.
  • Demonstrated tendency to challenge the status quo and drive constant improvement in process and ability to achieve organizational goals.

    • Technical Skills

  • Sound understanding on all processes in SAP WM areas.
  • Sound understanding of SAP EWM Outbound, Inbound and Internal processes with VAS, Quality Inspections and EGR, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, Posting Changes, RF developments.
  • Experience in creation of Master Data i.e., Packaging Specifications, Warehouse Organizational Structure, Settings for Handling Units etc. Should have sound knowledge and strong experience in configuring / modifying Post Processing Framework in SAP EWM. Along with a strong expertise in setting up the system integration between SAP ERP with SAP EWM
  • Knowledge about implementing MFS, Labor Management, Yard Management and Cross Docking in EWM
  • Must have Experience in interface development (RFC / ALE / IDoc / Web Services)
  • Must have Experience in system enhancements and configuration.
  • Experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation
  • Experience in data migration
  • Experience in interfacing NON-SAP ERP with SAP EWM is an advantage.
