We are seeking a GCP Cloud Architect focused on Application Modernisation to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate is a thought leader who will design and implement cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). If you are a technology enthusiast, committed to staying updated with emerging trends, and have a background in GCP technologies, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Design & implement secure, scalable Java apps on GCP using containers (Docker / Kubernetes) and serverless (Cloud Functions / Run)
  • Craft & enforce cloud architecture standards for J2EE / microservices on GCP
  • Select & integrate GCP services (GKE, Cloudrun, Functions, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Apigee) for J2EE and microservices (Pub / Sub, Storage)
  • Lead high-level Java application architecture design (J2EE best practices)
  • Champion microservices with Spring Boot (clean APIs, fault tolerance, service discovery)
  • Deep dive knowledge on java patterns like functional programming, reactive programming, event driven architecture, microservices, etc
  • Optimize cloud-based Java apps for performance, cost & scalability (Cloud CDN, Monitoring, Load Balancing)
  • Lead & guide development & infrastructure teams (Java, J2EE, microservices, cloud)
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud trends & explore AI integration with GCP GenAI (Vertex AI, Code Engine, Gemini)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions in GCP
  • Strong expertise in GCP services such as GKE, Cloudrun, Functions, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Firebase, Apigee, GCP App Engine, Gemini Code Assist, Vertex AI, Spanner, Memorystore, Service mesh, and Cloud Monitoring
  • Solid understanding of cloud best practices and experience implementing security controls in GCP
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools like Terraform and working understanding of DevOps principles
  • Leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and coach a technical team
