Description

The Data and Insights team is looking for a talented candidate to focus on the growing reporting needs of the business. Externalizing effectively data insights to stakeholders is a key component of our team’s work. It is the final step of the data journey and the point of interaction with our stakeholders. You will contribute to achieving effective reporting, as the final integral step that presents our hard work at the data engineering backend, and which adds great business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements.
  • Design Reports by data modeling, transformation and relationships in Power BI.
  • Develop, and deploy business intelligence solutions using Power BI tools (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service).
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports that translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Ensure performance, and clarity in report outputs; resolve reporting issues. Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure report accuracy
  • Automate data refresh schedules and manage access controls on Power BI reports.
  • Work with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle DB etc.) to extract, clean, and integrate data.
  • Maintain clear documentation on solutions and provide user training and support as needed.
  • Stay informed on BI / reporting trends and propose improvements where relevant.

Technical Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI in a business intelligence or reporting role.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service (publishing and sharing reports).
  • Exposure in data modeling, ETL processes, and working with relational databases (writing SQL queries).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data governance best practices.

    • Desirable

  • Exposure to other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Looker etc)
  • Exposure to other Power Platform (e.g. Power Automate, Power Apps etc).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (eg. Python)

    • Skills

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
