Job description

Position Description : Handling day-to-day finance and accounts operations including General Ledger, Reconciliations, Taxation, and support for audits under the supervision of the Manager.

Essential Qualifications : CA Inter / Postgraduate in Commerce (M. Com) from a recognized university.

Technical Qualifications / Experience : Technical know-how in MS Office Suite, VB, Power tools / Work experience in SAP or similar ERP is essential, Familiarity in accounting & reporting tools is preferred and basic understanding of accounting standards and taxation rules.

Experience : Minimum 5+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, specifically in the Manufacturing Industry.

Work Schedule : Ability to work flexible schedule during day and weekends.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger postings, reconciliations (bank, vendor, intercompany), and fixed assets accounting.
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes by preparing schedules, reports, and accurate financial data.
  • Assist in statutory and internal audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit queries.
  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax requirements.
  • Prepare MIS reports and assist in variance analysis as directed by the Manager.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
  • Actively support process improvement initiatives and team goals under the guidance of the Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required :

  • Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles and journal entries
  • Good working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS, and GST
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and escalate issues appropriately
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines
