Job Overview :
We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled IT Support Engineer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting VOIP and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will provide first-level support to end users, resolve hardware / software issues, and manage basic network and system configurations.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide first-level troubleshooting and support for VOIP-related issues :
- Call connectivity problems (e.g., unable to make calls)
- No audio on connected calls
- VOIP phone power issues
- Echo or voice quality issues during calls
- Support and troubleshoot LAN / WAN network systems and connectivity issues.
- Perform network endpoint testing and diagnose protocol-level issues (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Handle escalations and follow-up with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide technical support for Windows XP / 7 / 10 and macOS operating systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Office Suite (2003 / 2007 / 2013) and MS Outlook, O365, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
- Assist with Active Directory understanding and support.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot network and standalone printers, scanners, memory, and other peripherals.
- Install and manage antivirus endpoint protection.
- Ensure proper configuration and support of standard business applications.
Required Skills :
1-2 years of experience in IT Support with a focus on VOIP and network troubleshooting.Solid understanding of networking protocols and hardware (LAN / WAN, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, VPN).Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and hubs.Proficiency in supporting Microsoft products (Outlook, Office, Teams, Skype).Familiarity with Active Directory and endpoint security practices.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory) :
CompTIA A+ / Network+Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateCisco CCNA (basic understanding)(ref : hirist.tech)
