Job Title : API Gateway Management

Experience : 6-8 Years

Location : PAN India

Skills Required : API Gateway Management : Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, NGINX, Istio (for service mesh)

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and manage API Gateway solutions for secure, scalable, and reliable API traffic management.
• Implement security and policy enforcement , including authentication, authorization, encryption, rate limiting, and threat protection.
• Manage full API lifecycle —design, publishing, securing, monitoring, versioning, and retiring APIs.
• Integrate gateways with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for automated deployment and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (application, infrastructure, and security) to ensure compliance, governance, and consistent API standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance, availability, and latency issues using observability tools.
• Manage service mesh (e.g., Istio) for secure and observable east–west traffic between microservices.
• Optimize API performance using caching, SSL / TLS offloading, and traffic shaping strategies.
• Maintain developer portal and API documentation , enabling API discoverability and self-service capabilities.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and frameworks to enhance API management, analytics, and governance.
