Job description

Teamware Solutions is looking for an experienced SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) Consultant to design, develop, and implement robust ETL solutions. You'll be instrumental in extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources into target systems, ensuring data integrity, quality, and availability for business intelligence and reporting. This position is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of BODS implementations.

Key Responsibilities

ETL Development & Design :
Design, develop, and implement complex ETL jobs, data flows, workflows, and scripts using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) .
Extract data from various source systems including SAP ECC, SAP BW, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA), flat files, and web services.
Perform data transformations, data cleansing, data profiling, and data quality checks within BODS.
Load processed data into target data warehouses, data marts, or other reporting systems.
Administration & Support :
Configure and administer BODS components like Job Server, Repository, Access Server, and Management Console.
Monitor ETL job executions, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely data loads.
Manage code deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
Perform performance tuning of BODS jobs and optimize existing data flows.
Data Warehousing & BI Integration :
Work with data architects to understand data warehousing concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs).
Ensure seamless integration of BODS with SAP and non-SAP business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI).
Collaboration & Documentation :
Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and report developers to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes, data lineage, and system configurations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as an SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) Developer / Consultant .

Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing BODS jobs, data flows, and workflows .

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.

Expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA).

Experience with data extraction from SAP ECC, SAP BW , and other enterprise applications.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills .

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Data Services certification.

Experience with SAP Data Quality Management (DQM) .

Knowledge of other SAP data integration tools (e.g., SAP CPI, SDI).

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
