Marketplace Manager the Role
We are seeking a results-driven and analytical Marketplace Manager to take complete ownership of our performance across various third-party eCommerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, eBay, etc.). This pivotal role involves managing the full marketplace lifecycle, from strategic planning, listing optimization, inventory management, marketing, and performance analysis. You will be directly responsible for maximizing revenue, profitability, and brand visibility on these critical online sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
- P&L Responsibility : Drive the daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance of all assigned marketplaces, focusing on achieving revenue and profitability targets (GMV and Net Margin).
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute the annual marketplace strategy, identifying new channels, expanding geographic reach, and planning promotional calendars in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Pricing & Promotions : Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to set optimal pricing strategies. Plan and execute flash sales, discount offers, and seasonal promotions to maximize conversion and market share without compromising margin.
- Reporting & Analysis : Prepare detailed weekly and monthly performance reports, leveraging marketplace analytics to track key metrics (sales, conversion rate, ACoS / RoAS, return rates), providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Product Listing Management : Oversee the entire product listing lifecycle, ensuring product data, inventory counts, and pricing are accurate and synchronized across all platforms using listing tools or internal ERP systems.
- SEO & Content Optimization : Drive marketplace SEO (Search Engine Optimization) through continuous optimization of titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend search terms to improve organic search rankings.
- A+ Content / Enhanced Brand Content (EBC) : Develop and manage premium A+ content, store fronts, and high-quality imagery / video assets to enhance brand presentation and boost conversion rates.
- PPC Campaign Management : Plan, manage, and optimize Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns (e.g., Amazon Sponsored Products / Brands, Flipkart Ads) to maximize RoAS (Return on Ad Spend) and control ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales).
- Inventory & Logistics : Work closely with the Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory forecasting, resolve shipment discrepancies, and manage fulfillment options (FBA / FBM, Fulfilled by Flipkart, etc.) to maintain high in-stock rates.
- Account Health : Proactively monitor and maintain excellent Seller Central / Partner Portal health metrics, ensuring compliance with marketplace policies to avoid penalties or account suspension
