Ayurvedic doctor diagnoses and treats patients holistically using traditional Ayurvedic principles, natural remedies, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle recommendations like yoga and meditation to restore balance between the body, mind, and spirit. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing personalized treatment plans including herbal therapies and Panchakarma procedures, educating patients on preventive care, and maintaining accurate medical records. Key qualifications are a BAMS or equivalent degree, a medical license, and excellent communication and counseling skills to foster patient well-being.

Core Responsibilities

Holistic Diagnosis : Assess patients to understand their symptoms, medical history, and imbalances in their body, mind, and spirit.

Treatment Planning : Develop individualized plans using natural remedies, herbal medicine, diet modifications, and lifestyle recommendations.

Patient Consultation : Conduct thorough consultations, explain treatment benefits, and provide patient counseling.

Therapeutic Interventions : Administer or prescribe treatments such as herbal therapies, Panchakarma, yoga, and meditation.

Preventive Care : Educate patients on healthy lifestyle practices to promote overall wellness.

Record Keeping : Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and treatment plans for future reference.

Key Qualifications

Education : A Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree or equivalent is required.

Licensing : A valid state medical license to practice Ayurvedic medicine is necessary.

Experience : Experience in diagnosing and treating patients using traditional medicine is essential.

Requirements

Must be a high school graduate. Further training in child care and development from some registered institution (eg. ACNS ). Proven child care experience with references. First Aid and CPR certification. Safety certification. A valid driving license and a safe driving record.
