About the Role : The Manager – Policy and Corporate Affairs will be responsible for developing and implementing policy strategies, engaging with regulatory authorities, and managing corporate affairs to ensure a favorable policy environment for Rapido’s operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of public policy, government relations, and regulatory frameworks related to mobility, transportation, and urban development.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all applicable tax returns (GST, TDS, corporate income tax, equalization levy, etc.)
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars.
- Review tax computations, reconciliations, and related workings prepared by the team or consultants.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization.
- Implement necessary changes to compliance processes.
- Oversee the process of routine compliance hygiene checks and circulate the technical memoranda summarizing findings and recommendations to the Management.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax issues.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and tax reporting.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to support tax positions and availment of credits / deductions
- Communicate effectively and provide guidance to the team members in implementing the newer provisions notified by the Department.
- Prepare and present consolidate reports to senior management on monthly tax compliances.
- Implement checklists and controls to ensure accurate reporting of details in tax returns and ensure balances are duly reconciled with books in a timely manner.
Qualifications : Education :
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the field of taxation.Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.Skills :
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in tally and MS Office.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What’s there for you?
