Back End Developer

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to help build a styling-focused web application from the ground up. This role begins as a project-based opportunity and for the right candidate, it opens the door to becoming a core part of our backend team working on a full-scale styling app. The role includes writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of the back-end infrastructure, and collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, and contribute ideas and technical expertise to shape the broader product vision. The Back End Developer is expected to troubleshoot and debug applications, as well as optimize existing systems and processes.

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
• Basic knowledge of Front-End Development
• Experience with Node.js / Python and frameworks (Django / FastAPI), PostgreSQL / MongoDB for structured / unstructured style data, cloud deployment experience (AWS / Azure) with containerized workloads and API development including authentication and rate-limiting, amongst other required skills.
