Role & Responsibility
- Propose & execute strategies to expand our portfolio for generics / specialities via In-Licensing in Emerging Markets- markets (ANZ, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Malyasia, Thailand….)
- Lead end to end discussion to
- identify and categories partners for in licensing
- analyze market opportunities assessing their value through comprehensive business cases
- negotiate in licensing, distribution, technology transfer or collaboration agreements
- schedule regular TC / VC and face to face meetings with licensors worldwide s
- generate market intelligence gathering products, sources, development status and market formation
- Business case finalization
- keep updated track record of licensing projects and payment milestones
- define the quickest path towards launch bearing in mind the intellectual property scenario and regulatory procedures feasible
- coordinate all activities required after the signature of the contract till launch of the product
- Participate in quarterly meetings with the Portfolio department to revise priorities for molecules to in license / acquire or develop, updating the wish list
- Prepare every month an update of the licensing activity for HOD.
- Present the projects to license along with the corresponding business cases to our Senior Management every month, in order to seek for approval.
Relevant Functional / Technical Skills or Industry Experience
Regulated markets BD experience, Emerging Markets ( Australia , Africa , SEA , etc..) experience preferred
Effective communication and reporting
Experience of leading and coordinating a department’s team
Experience of working across multiple time zone and in global business cultures
Experience in negotiation & deal closure
Good understanding of the way the key pharma industry’s drivers are influencing the launch of products : intellectual property, regulatory, price evolution, retail and hospital channel
Know the relevant players to deal with in the market
Good understanding on regulated and advance market regulatory guidelines and market intel
