About the HRIS Team

At the core of Rippling’s platform lies Employee Records — a foundational layer that powers every product across our ecosystem. The HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team owns this layer end-to-end.

They handle the full lifecycle of employee data : hiring, onboarding, transitions, offboarding — and every workflow in between. Our work directly enables Rippling’s ability to scale across products, geographies, and customer segments.

HRIS Flows Experience : Focused on creating simple, intuitive workflows that empower Rippling's customers to manage employee data seamlessly.

HRIS Flows Infrastructure : Provides the scalable backbone for all flow products, prioritizing reliability, data integrity, and performance at scale.

HR Applications : Develops essential tools and interfaces for customers to view, manage, and interact with employee data effectively.

Org Management : Enables the creation and maintenance of company structures tailored to organizations of all sizes and complexities

What you will do

As a Staff Engineer on HRIS, you’ll work on some of the most critical and high-leverage systems at Rippling. You’ll :

• Architect and scale backend services that power core employee data and workflows
• Drive large, cross-cutting initiatives — including new product lines and infra evolution

Translate complex business problems into scalable, well-abstracted software designs
