Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Senior Civil Structural Engineer / Assistant ManagerCandidate will report to Head of Civil Engineering. Responsibilities cover all the activities of ENGIE in India and in each and every country where projects are developed and built. The position is based in Pune and business trips may be envisaged in India & overseas.Missions and Responsibilities : The missions and responsibilities of the Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager- Civil Structures are : - India and Overseas site visits during various phases of the project (pre-bid, construction, Operation and Maintenance) and prepare site visit report, site feasibility assessment and remedial measures for Solar PV plant as per requirement.- Review preliminary investigation reports, including Soil testing, Corrosion, Pile Pull out test (POT) , Liquefaction study, Wind tunnel test reports for mounting structures analysis as well as Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis results and their executive summary from the reports and shall propose best suitable Techno Commercial solution for the project.- Prepare and review technical documentation and procedural guidelines.- Preparation of specifications for various Civil Structural engineering activities including Module Mounting structures (MMS), Main control room building, Inverter skids and canopy, PEB buildings, tracker and robotic cleaning specifications etc.- Review and prepare various QAP’s and Field Quality Plan & FAT- Witness factory inspection for various structures and prepared detailed report.- Preparation of design spreadsheets for various structures and foundations related to solar PV project, transmission tower, switchyard, wind project.- Preparation of SOP’s and Checklists for the methodology followed for various activities.- Review & Design of Civil Structures documents including foundations (Cast in Situ and Precast) MMS GA drawings, foundation drawings, various tracker manufacturer drawings, Cleaning robots, ,Inverter sheds, skids etc. Shall be well versed to review and prepare substructure and superstructures drawings. Fabrication drawings of MMS.- Review and design of Switchyard structures and drawings.- Prepare and review bill of quantity, design basis report for MMS, pile foundation designs as well as switchyard area structural designs and detailing.- Design structural elements in solar PV plant including Mounting structures, cable tray support , Main control room building, Foundation designs including Bored cast in situ, Rammed, helical pile designs etc.- Providing support to draughts person for basic drawings preparations related to Civil structures works. (MMS GA & fabrication drawing, MCR building, inverter skids, Pile foundations, plant fence GA and foundation drawing, Switchyard structural details etc)- Technical support to O&M and provide best suitable solution for any rectification work related to any Civil damages.- Co-ordination with different contractors and vendors for various activities.- Co-ordination with project team during construction and resolved queries arise during construction related to engineering and quality.- Knowledge of various IS, IRC, ASCE, EN, ISO and BS etc., standards related to the Structural Engineering deliverables- In depth knowledge of various materials used in construction with their properties and usage.- Expertise / proficiency in Wind turbine foundation analysis and design including Crane platform design would be an added advantage.Education, Experience and Skills : Pre-requisites : - Master / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering BE / BTech / MTech or equivalent (Full time)- 8–10 years of relevant work experience in power generation sector with specific knowledge, expertise and experience in developing or designing / review of solar PV projects (Experience in Wind project would be added advantage).- Working experience in several of the following areas : - Coordination of large sized EPC projects- Renewable consultant- BOQ preparation- Design experience in overseas projects Etc.- Proficiency in, Auto cad, Microsoft office, RCDC, STAAD pro, L-Pile, All- Pile software etc.,- Fluent in English (spoken and written)Behavioural Competencies : - Good people management skills;- Flexible, meticulous, good planner, and organizer.- Ability to work autonomously and be proactive.- Stress resistant, results-focused, determined, decisive;- You think outside the box and dare to challenge the status quo;Skills and know-how : - Self and highly motivated- Excellent communication skills- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to thrive under pressure- Proactive- Focused on working at a high level and producing an excellent work product under changing priorities and deadlines- Demonstrated ability to manage and interface effectively with cross-functional employee groups- Process oriented with strong organization skills to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands
