About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join our IT operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with IT infrastructure, operations, and service management teams to enable automation, visibility, and control across our IT landscape.

This position requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CMDB, ITIL practices, and enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
  • Configure and manage mid-servers, probes, sensors, and patterns to ensure accurate and reliable IT asset discovery and service mapping.
  • Integrate ServiceNow ITOM with third-party monitoring tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and others.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to gather requirements and implement use cases in ITOM.
  • Maintain and enhance the CMDB to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Develop custom scripts using JavaScript and leverage REST / SOAP APIs for system integrations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ITOM-related issues and ensure consistent performance and data accuracy.
  • Follow best practices for ServiceNow development and ITIL processes to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and system architecture.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on ITOM modules.
  • Expertise in :

    • 1. ServiceNow Discovery

    2. Service Mapping

    3. Event Management

    4. Orchestration

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, REST / SOAP APIs, and mid-server configurations.
  • Solid understanding of :

    • 1. IT Infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, applications)

    2. CMDB and data models

    3. ITIL processes and best practices

  • Experience in integrating ServiceNow ITOM with monitoring tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
