About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer cum UAV Pilot with strong experience in Ardu Copter and PX4 flight stacks. The role involves UAV integration, testing, and flight operations, along with system-level troubleshooting and optimization. The candidate will play a critical part in both engineering development and real-world deployment of our drone systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and pilot drones for testing, R&D, and mission operations. Integrate and configure flight controllers, sensors, and payloads using Ardu Copter and PX4.
- Perform system-level testing, tuning (PID, control loops), and calibration of UAV platforms.
- Develop and validate mission planning workflows (QGround Control, Mission Planner, etc.).
- Troubleshoot hardware / software integration issues on UAV systems.
- Document test results, prepare reports, and provide feedback for design improvements.
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, electronics, manufacturing) for end-to-end UAV development.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical (or equivalent hands-on experience).2+ years of practical experience with UAVs, especially Ardu Copter and PX4-based platforms.Proven experience in manual and autonomous drone operations.Strong understanding of UAV system architecture : flight controllers, ESCs, propulsion, GNSS, telemetry, and sensors.Hands-on experience with PID tuning, firmware configuration, and mission planning tools.Knowledge of communication protocols (MAVLink, CAN, UART, I2 C).Familiarity with ground control software (Mission Planner, QGC, MAVProxy).Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills (hardware + software). Added advantage : experience with custom UAV builds, ROS integration, C++ / Python scripting for automation.Nice to Have (Optional) :
Exposure to regulatory compliance (DGCA, FAA Part 107, or similar). Experience with swarm operations or advanced autonomy.Familiarity with payload integration (EO / IR cameras, Li DAR, etc.).
