ETL Testing

The Senior ETL Database Tester will be responsible for validating the Extract Transform Load ETL processes and ensuring the accuracy completeness and integrity of data across data pipelines and warehouses This role demands handson experience with SQL ETL tools and data validation frameworks along with strong analytical and problemsolving skills Shape Key Responsibilities ETL Testing Validation Design develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for ETL workflows Validate data extraction transformation and loading procedures across staging DWH and DataMart layers Perform data reconciliation row count checks and columnlevel validations between source and target systems   Collaboration Documentation Work closely with ETL developers data engineers and business analysts to understand transformation logic and business rules Maintain documentation in tools like JIRA HP ALM and create traceability matrices and defect logs Automation Optimization Automate repetitive testing tasks using scripting languages eg Python Shell Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards Shape Required Skills Experience Technical Skills SQL expertise Joins subqueries analytical functions and performance tuning ETL Tools Informatica Talend SSIS Database Platforms Oracle SQL Server Teradata PostgreSQL Operating Systems Windows UnixLinux Scripting Shell scripting Python preferred Testing Tools JIRA HP ALM
