Position Overview :

We are seeking a Database Migration Specialist (GCP) who will lead and execute the migration of on-premises databases to Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in database administration, cloud migration, and performance optimization, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end migration of on-premises databases (Oracle, MS SQL) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Analyze existing database architecture and data to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining integrity and consistency.
• Configure, optimize, and secure cloud-based database environments in line with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to define and execute detailed migration plans with minimal downtime.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during migration, ensuring successful deployment.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and strategies for compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Provide post-migration support, performance tuning, and optimization recommendations to enhance cloud database performance.
