Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing

Job descriptionSolid understanding of basic data structures and algorithms. Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar QA role. Strong knowledge of software testing principles, practices, and methodologies. Experience testing applications across backend, frontend, and integration points. Expertise in mobile test automation using Appium (iOS and Android). Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc. Hands-on experience using AI tools in QA is a strong advantage. Proficient in writing test scripts using Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages. Familiarity with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities. Self-motivated and eager to learn new tools and technologies. Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling). ISTQB or other QA certifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile, web, and backend services.
- Conduct thorough testing across multiple layers of the applicationfrontend, backend, and integrations.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to validate application functionality and performance.
- Implement and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium.
- Identify, record, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases.
- Continuously improve test coverage, test effectiveness, and QA processes.
- Explore and integrate AI tools and automation platforms to enhance testing efficiency.
- Stay updated with new testing tools, trends, and technologies.
- Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and agile ceremonies.
