About the Role :

Were seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer III to join our Falcon Risk Platform team at CrowdStrike. As a key member of our team youll play a critical role in designing and building the foundational risk platform that powers our industry-leading cybersecurity solutions. Youll work with cutting-edge technologies including Golang microservices architecture and diverse database ecosystems to deliver comprehensive visibility into risks management features and prioritization workflows.

Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the Risk platform group within Falcon Exposure Management PG which offers a single pane of glass experience by aggregating all risks within an organization in a single place. Youll work on a globally distributed fault-tolerant and highly scalable cloud ecosystem that supports integration of risk from Crowdstrikes internal providers as well as from 3rd party integrations.

As a technical leader youll drive end-to-end product delivery architect scalable solutions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities and scope. Your expertise will directly influence the cybersecurity landscape protecting organizations from sophisticated threats while advancing the state of the art in exposure management.

Backend Architecture and Development : Design and develop scalable backend services powering both internal and customer-facing web applications with a focus on performance reliability and security. Develop and maintain APIs microservices and data pipelines to support the growth of the platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.

Cloud Infrastructure and Operations : Collaborate with the DevOps team to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS Azure or GCP ensuring scalability security and high availability. Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate deployment monitoring and maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

Database Management and Data Engineering : Design and implement database solutions using RDBMS / SQL NoSQL databases and distributed caching solutions like Redis ensuring data consistency integrity and performance. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics. Ensure data security and compliance across different databases and data stores.

System Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization : Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures identifying and resolving performance and reliability issues. Develop and implement monitoring and logging solutions to improve system visibility and debugging capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize performance optimization opportunities.

Collaboration and Technical Leadership : Partner with cross-functional teams including UX / UI Sensors and other teams to deliver integrated solutions with comprehensive documentation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers ensuring knowledge sharing and skill development within the team. Collaborate with technical leaders to define technical vision and strategy.

Operational Excellence and Service Reliability : Configure advanced monitoring alerting and maintain high availability for production services ensuring robust and healthy service operations. Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure high availability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize operational excellence initiatives.

What Youll Need :

Exceptional problem-solving abilities with 8 years of proven experience architecting and building distributed applications

Fluency in at least one programming language preferably in Scala or Go. or any other programming language can be considered.

Ability to design scalable and resilient microservice-based architectures including clean REST APIs and streaming communication channels

Past experience(s) with building distributed ETLs or data ingestion pipelines

Understanding of multithreading concurrency and parallel processing technologies

A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture

Understanding scalability and distributed systems i.e. sharding partitioning concurrency etc.

Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge : AWS or GCP / Azure

Team player skills we embrace collaborating as a team as much as possible

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Solid foundation in algorithms data structures and technical problem-solving

Bonus Qualifications :

Machine learning AI implementation or Agentic AI usage experience

Prior experience building data platforms at scale

Practical experience with golang Cassandra Kafka Elasticsearch SQL Redis

Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
