ROLE DESCRIPTION :

The role involves identifying and evaluating domestic and international biomass briquette suppliers based on quality, quantity, price, reliability, and sustainability, aligned with plant needs. It includes developing procurement strategies that reflect market trends and sustainability goals, forecasting demand to ensure uninterrupted supply year-round, and optimizing procurement processes for cost and efficiency. The position also requires negotiating long-term contracts, managing supplier agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks, and collaborating with internal teams such as production, logistics, and finance for effective inventory planning and management.

CANDIDATE REQUISITE -

Education : Graduate / Postgraduate / MBA

Experience : 3–5 years in procurement or purchase, preferably in agri-products or biomass

Preferred Domain : Purchase, Procurement of Agricultural Products, Biomass

Industry Background : FMCG, Agro Fertilizers, Tractors & Automobiles, NBFCs, or related sectors

• Proactiveness and decision-making
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Data analysis, reporting, and financial acumen
• Sustainability mindset and project management capabilities

Desirable Knowledge : Familiarity with crop production and cropping trends in India

Travel : Willingness to travel across locations in India
