SAP EWM / WM

We are seeking an experienced SAP Warehouse Management (WM) Consultant with strong functional expertise in warehouse operations, process design, and SAP WM configuration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP WM implementations, integration with MM / SD / EWM, and the ability to support business users across global warehouses. The consultant should be capable of interacting with stakeholders, understanding business processes, and delivering scalable warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Expertise & Configuration

Lead and deliver SAP WM solutions, covering inbound, outbound, internal warehouse operations, and inventory processes.

Configure core SAP WM functionalities including :

o Warehouse Structure, Storage Types, Storage Sections & Bins

o Putaway & Picking Strategies

o Transfer Orders (TO), Transfer Requirements (TR), and Task Confirmation

o Batch Management & Handling Unit Management (HUM)

o Physical Inventory, Cycle Counting & Stock Reconciliation

Perform business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, system configuration, testing, and documentation.

Project Delivery

End-to-end involvement in at least 1 full-cycle WM implementation and multiple rollout / support projects.

Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP teams for enhancements and custom objects.

Conduct unit, integration, UAT testing, cutover activities, end-user training, and post-go-live support.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Ensure smooth integration of WM with MM, SD, PP, QM, and EWM / 3PL systems.

Support interfaces with 3PL / WMS systems and IDoc / EDI monitoring.

Coordinate with business stakeholders, warehouse supervisors, supply chain teams, and logistics partners to resolve key operational issues.

Required Skills & Experience

6 8 years of SAP experience, with at least 4+ years in SAP WM.

Strong hands-on knowledge of :

o Inbound / GR, Outbound / GI, Stock Transfers & Replenishment

o HU Management, Batch & Serial Number Management

o Cross-Docking, Wave & Shipment Processes

Experience in supporting multi-plant / multi-warehouse environments.

Functional debugging ability to analyze issues in WM-related objects (IDocs, RF screens, etc.).

Good understanding of RF Framework and handheld device processes in warehouses.

Good to Have / Preferred

Exposure to SAP EWM (Basic understanding or hands-on in EWM preferred).

Knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA Stock Room Management.

Experience in integration with 3PL systems & logistics providers.

SAP Certification in WM or SCM modules is an added advantage.
