Position Overview :
The IT Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and coordinating the day-to-day IT operations , infrastructure , and support activities of the organization. This position ensures that all technology systems run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business goals. The IT Coordinator also assists with hardware / software management , network monitoring , technical support , and vendor coordination .
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and monitor IT operations , ensuring smooth performance of systems and networks.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices .
- Manage user accounts , access rights, and permissions in line with IT policies.
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity , data backups , and system security .
- Support the IT team in managing servers, routers, switches, and firewalls .
- Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and troubleshooting services.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset inventories, and user guides.
- Ensure data privacy, cybersecurity compliance , and adherence to IT best practices.
- Assist with IT budgeting , purchase requests, and project coordination.
- Provide training and support to staff on new systems, applications, or policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field .Strong understanding of IT infrastructure , including networks, servers, and operating systems.Hands-on experience with Windows / Linux environments , Microsoft Office 365 , and Active Directory .Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).Knowledge of data backup, antivirus, and cybersecurity protocols .Excellent problem-solving , organizational , and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications such as CompTIA A+ , Network+ , Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator , or CCNA .Experience with cloud-based tools (Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace).Knowledge of ITIL principles or experience in IT service management.Exposure to ERP systems , remote management tools , or IT project coordination .
