Job Description Summary
The Aeroderivative Performance & Operability Engineering team is a critical pillar within the Aeroderivative Engineering organization, operating at the intersection of engineering, commercial, and digital domains. The team covers project execution and model development for aspects related to performance (thermodynamic cycle models) and operability (including emissions, fuel flexibility, and controls).
As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our engine performance models as they transition from the sales phase (ITR) to the project execution phase (OTR). You will collaborate with our top engineers to replicate "as-sold" performance guarantees, publish them for our customers and field teams, and help validate the next generation of our simulation tools. Additionally, you will continue and expand the development of key software used by the team.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute Model Publishing : You will run the process for publishing OTR cycle models for every sold contract. This involves taking the "as-sold" model and preparing it for final publication.
- Collaborate for Accuracy : Work closely with the ITR (sales support) engineers to understand the technical details and assumptions behind each performance guarantee, ensuring you can accurately replicate their results.
- Support Web Publishing : Partner with the web development team to publish the final, validated performance guarantee data to our customer-facing and internal portals.
- Assist in Tool Validation : Support the methods team by performing validation and user-acceptance testing on new NPSS features and calculation routines before they are released to the broader team.
- Identify Process Improvements : As you execute the publishing process, you will help identify opportunities for improvement and work with the team to implement them.
Required Qualifications

Curious & Eager to Learn : You're genuinely excited to dive deep into complex gas turbine systems and simulation tools. You ask "why" and "how" because you want to truly understand—not just follow steps. The idea of becoming a subject matter expert in performance engineering energizes you.Detail-Oriented Problem Solver : You love working with data, making the numbers align perfectly, and troubleshooting when they don't. You're methodical and persistent—when something doesn't match, you see it as an engaging puzzle to solve.Collaborative & Impact-Driven : You thrive working with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, bringing fresh ideas while learning from others. You want your work to matter—and you're motivated knowing your models will guide real turbines in the field.Additional Information
